SO OVER IT FAQ

1. How do I start consigning?
You can begin consigning with So Over It by submitting your items through our online consignment portal. Our team will review each item and place it in the store where it will perform best—Luxury or Contemporary.
2. Can I consign online?
Yes! You can consign all items through our online consignment portal, Circle Hand. A single account allows you to consign for both Luxury and Contemporary stores.
3. How do I receive payment for my items?
Consignors can choose between E-Transfer payments or store credit. Store credit can be used across both Luxury and Contemporary stores.
Bonus store credit: 5% extra for Luxury, 10% extra for Contemporary
4. Can I consign specific designers?
Each store has a curated list of accepted designers and brands. You can view the full list of accepted Luxury designers here and Contemporary brands here.
5. Do you offer cash buyouts?
We currently do not offer cash buyouts. All items are processed through our standard consignment program.
6. How does authentication work on consigned items?
All items are carefully reviewed by our trained team to confirm authenticity and assess quality. Our team examines construction, materials, hardware, authenticity papers (if provided), and product codes. Items requiring further review are sent to a third-party authentication service. A non-refundable authentication fee applies if third-party authentication is needed. Items deemed inauthentic are returned to the consignor and will not be sold.
7. What are your consignment rates?
Luxury Store:
All clothing: 30% commission
All items $1,499 and under: 50% commission
All items $1,500+: 60% commission

CHANEL / HERMÈS:
All items $1,499 and under: 50% commission
All items $1,500–$2,999: 60% commission
All items $3,000+: 70% commission
Clothing is subject to piece-by-piece review

Contemporary Store:
Flat 40% commission on all items
8. I only have one item. Can I consign?
Absolutely! Whether you have one item or ten, we are happy to process your consignment requests.
9. Do you offer store credit instead of cash?
Yes! Store credit is available for both Luxury and Contemporary consignments. Bonus credit applies: 5% for Luxury, 10% for Contemporary items.
10. How do I know when an item has sold?
You will be notified via email through your Circle Hand account whenever an item sells.
11. How long is the consignment period?
Luxury store items: 6 months
Contemporary store items: 12 months

At the end of the consignment period, you will be notified if your items have not sold and given the option to either collect them or include them in our annual Super Sale.
12. How do you decide which store my item goes to?
Our consignment team evaluates each item for style, quality, and market demand. Contemporary items are placed in the Contemporary store, while high-end designer or investment pieces go to the Luxury store. You don’t need to choose—the team will assign each item for optimal performance.
13. Can I consign both Luxury and Contemporary items at the same time?
Yes! With a single account, you can submit items for both stores simultaneously. You’ll see all active items, sales, and payouts in one account dashboard.
14. How should I prepare my items for consignment?
Items should be clean, gently used, and in excellent condition. For Luxury items, including original packaging, dust bags, or authenticity cards whenever possible helps maximize value.
15. Are there seasonal or trending guidelines?
Our team curates items based on current trends, seasonality, and demand. Some trends may sell faster than others, and items are priced to reflect their style and quality.
